• Job Summary

The primary objective of the Maintenance Millwright is to maintain the mill and yard equipment in proper working order. This position requires knowledge in mechanical and electrical processes and trouble shooting. This person will conduct preventative maintenance of machinery to minimize unnecessary downtime and ensure efficient operation of the facility. The daily activities of any maintenance personnel are subject to change due to the needs of the mill and the hours scheduled must be flexible.

• Duties and Responsibilities

Organize and follow a preventive maintenance program for the following :

Sawmill Machinery

• Packaging Machinery
• Yard equipment

o Utilize cutting torches

o Welding and metal fabrication with both mig & stick welding

o Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools

o Troubleshoot and replace / repair defective parts

o All other duties as needed
