Position Summary
The Room Inspector ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and Hilton brand consistency. This role serves as the final quality checkpoint before a guest occupies the room, directly supporting housekeeping operations and guest satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect assigned guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, condition, and readiness meet brand standards.
Verify that guest amenities (linens, toiletries, supplies) are replenished and presented properly.
Provide immediate feedback to room attendants and housemen regarding deficiencies; coach and support staff to improve quality.
Document inspection results and follow up on any re-cleaning or maintenance needs.
Assist with deep cleaning schedules and special projects as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
Report maintenance issues promptly via the hotel's work order system.
Support training of new room attendants by modeling brand standards and inspection expectations.
Uphold health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Provide excellent internal communication to ensure rooms are released in a timely manner for front office check-ins.
Assist with inventory counts of linens, guest supplies, and housekeeping equipment when required.
Qualifications
Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently identify cleanliness and presentation issues.
Effective communication skills to provide clear feedback and coaching.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
