This position is located at Wheeling Longwall & Rebuild, Inc in Wheeling, WV . We are seeking hard working, motivated individuals. If you are interested in pursuing a career with great potential, we want you!
Seeking motivated individuals to repair and fabricate mining equipment and machinery.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weekly visual inspections
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance to equipment
- Welding knowledge / skill
- Mechanically inclined
- Reads / interprets equipment manuals / work orders
- Conducts troubleshooting and problem solving
- Basic knowledge in reading of blueprints
- General fabrication and layout abilities
- Follows instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as hazard and / or task training that may be required before the task begins
- Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean / free of hazards which may endanger the health / safety of any employee
- Performs work according to instructions to ensure quality and satisfaction is achieved.
- Applicants must be experienced in welding / torching / cutting and have the ability to safely perform tasks
