job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPrepare and file all U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax returns and payments (including 940 / 941s, W-2s), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and update payroll tax rates; communicate changes to Payroll and IT teams. Support the Director of Tax in handling payroll tax audits and resolving tax authority notices. Reconcile payroll taxes to the general ledger and collaborate with Accounting and Payroll to correct filing errors. Approve outgoing wire and ACH payments; review daily cash reports as needed. Assist with tax return work papers and perform other assigned duties and special projects.
Qualifications : must be comfortable commuting onsite 4 days, weekly
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, finance, business administration, etc.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll tax filing
