- Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery documents.
- Manage the discovery process
draft and respond to discovery requests, review responses, organize financial and case records, and track deadlines.
Prepare case files for hearings and trials, including exhibits, witness coordination, and trial binders.Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain processes, and provide compassionate support.Handle e-filing and maintain organized case files (digital and physical).Support attorneys in case strategy, trial preparation, and client meetings. Qualifications :Required :
Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent law firm experience.Strong organizational and written communication skills.Proficiency in discovery and document management. Preferred :2–3+ years of family law paralegal experience in Illinois.Familiarity with Illinois e-filing systems and Clio (or similar practice management software).Experience with financial documents, parenting agreements, and litigation support.
