Apprentice Mechanic (Union) (Job number : 1377)

We are seeking an HVAC Mechanic Apprentice (Union) to join our federal team supporting the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. (military friendly, but military experience not required).

As an Apprentice Mechanic , you will :

• Primarily perform HVAC mechanical equipment service support, some electrical and controls work, and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer
• Assists Journeyman Mechanics with more complex problems
• Supports preventative maintenance duties on different types of HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems
• Responds to basic warranty calls
• Keeps Managers, Foreman, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed
