What Your Job Will Be Like

We are seeking a Year-Round Business Graduate Intern to join our Protective Force (ProForce) team!

On any given day, you may be called on to :

• Collaborate with Protective Force Shift Captains to develop and refine performance metrics and training curriculum using Sandia AI programs, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency.
• Analyze data related to incidents, near misses, and underlying causes, leveraging Sandia AI programs to identify trends and support process improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report on daily trends within the Protective Force, ensuring timely and accurate information is available for decision-making.
• Assist the Shift Captains in preparing and organizing reporting materials, facilitating with effective communication and operational oversight.
• Support the creation of metrics presentations for the Manager and Senior Manager of Protective Force, helping to convey insights and recommendations clearly and effectively.

Salary Range

Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. The Safeguards and Security Protective Force Department at Sandia National Laboratories, New Mexico (SNL / NM) is responsible for the Protection of resources, including Special Nuclear Material (SNM), Classified Matter, personnel, locks, keys and combination control.The Protective Force department is also responsible for emergency response assistance and basic law enforcement activities at SNL / NM.

Security Clearance

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
