Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative or quantitative analyses of materials using techniques such as (chromatography, spectroscopy, and microscopy).
- Sample prep / cutting / hand tools / QC / Strength testing / tensil / physical prop.
- Perform routine analyses to check accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness of test data.
- Record data and prepares simple charts or graphs.
- Accurately follow work instructions along with established operating procedures and test methods.
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments or equipment.
- Provide and maintain safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, or teams and by conducting laboratory / plant safety audits.
- Provide technical support or assistance to engineers
- Test Sheets / (heavy project exposure and management)
Qualifications & Experience :
1-3 years of related laboratory experienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Associates Degree or related work experience preferred.High School MatriculationTechnical DiplomaSkills & Behavior :
Good communication skillsAbility to work well with others in a high paced environmentComplete assigned task using logic and reasoningAttention to detailBasic computer skillsMultitasking / handle multiple responsibilities / prioritiesPhysical and Environmental Requirements :
Physical Requirements :
Continuously stand up to 4 hours.Walking short distances through the department / building.Use hands / arms to pick and carry product and operate required equipment.Lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.Speak in English with or without an assistive device.Hear with or without an assistive device.Read and write legibly. Including very small print.Listen to information, and follow directions provided through an electronic headset.Continuously stand, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, push / pull, scanning, counting, keying orders, cleaning, carrying, and move freight. Including repetitive motion.
