Base pay range $50,000.00 / yr - $70,000.00 / yr

Job Details Title : Intermediate Interior Designer

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Status : Full Time / Exempt

Reports To : Furniture Manager

Role Overview As an Innovative Office Solutions furniture interior designer, you are at the heart of our value proposition. Our customers need your creativity, your unique way of solving problems, your ability to persuade them toward the most beneficial solution, and your fluency in the technology that makes solutions come to life.

Essential Functions Discovery :

Work with Account Executives to sell smaller jobs or work as part of a larger team on bigger, more complex jobs.

Assist Account Executives in appointments and tours.

Assist with site measurement and inventories.

Articulate the benefits of using one product over another and apply this knowledge to solve problems.

Maintain the design library and stock appropriate tools; order samples as necessary.

Build and maintain relationships with vendors and vendor representatives.

Continued Education : Attend vendor updates and CEUs.

Solutions :

Problem solving through design and product selection.

Design and space planning.

Create customer presentations using PowerPoint.

Maintain communication with Account Executives to ensure project success.

Create drawings and product specifications.

Complete presentations and project renderings.

Obtain installation quotes as needed.

Navigate contracts to quote the best available pricing to the customer.

Selection :

Prepare RFP response documentation.

Finalize pricing and installation documents.

File completed projects.

Team Work :

Receive work direction from the Design Manager.

Exchange ideas with co-workers and ask for help when needed.

Assist walk-in customers in furniture selection.

Incorporate inventory into proposals whenever possible.

Prioritize workload with a customer-first attitude.

Maintain positive communication and attitude.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications 2-4 year Interior Design degree.

5+ years relevant work experience.

Advanced knowledge of computer systems including :

Core

Microsoft Office

AutoCAD

CET

CAP / Worksheet / 2020

Visual Impressions experience.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Occasional travel for project support.

Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving, persuasive, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Reliable and prompt.
