Duties / Responsibilities :

Assist Mail & Receiving drivers with deliveries to main campus and Health Science campus. Ride as a passenger in the delivery vehicles and distribute mail and packages to departments

Percentage of time : 60

Assist with unloading US mail from UGA vehicles. Assist drivers load and unload the UGA delivery vehicles.

Assist with sorting residence hall mail each morning and assist with delivering to the designated mailrooms for the residence halls.

Assist with bulk mail projects to include envelope stuffing, collating, or bag filling tasks as assigned.

Position Summary :

This is a position of trust. This is a full-time temporary position working in Receiving and Mail Services. Responsibilities include assisting with the processing of university’s mail and distributing goods delivered to the university.

Work experience, including summer jobs, internships & volunteer work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Competencies :

Dependable, punctual, good attitude, willingness to learn, teamwork, and effective communicator and active listener.

Physical Demands :

Frequently needed to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally push pull, lift and / or move heavy items.
