Salary : $35-$45 / hr

Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment? Join our team as aField Mechanicand keep our civil construction equipment running at peak performance!

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Diagnose & Troubleshoot : Inspect heavy equipment, identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and recommend repairs.
  • Maintain & Repair : Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on civil construction equipment to include : bulldozers, graders, and excavators to ensure optimal functionality. Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components as needed.
  • Field Service & Emergency Response : Respond promptly to field service requests and breakdowns, traveling to job sites to address equipment issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and maintenance activities performed on each piece of equipment.

WHAT YOU BRING :

  • Education & Certifications : High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical school graduate or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Experience : 5+ years as a field mechanic specializing in heavy equipment.
  • Technical Skills : Expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems; proficiency with diagnostic tools.
  • Work Abilities : Strong problem-solving skills, independent decision-making under pressure, and effective communication.
  • Technology Proficiency : Accurate typing, keyboard use, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Licensing & Compliance : Valid drivers license with a clean record; Class-A CDL (or willingness to obtain).
