Position Summary :
The Construction Inspector will monitor, assess, evaluate, verify, discuss, decide, resolve, report and document contractor construction activities as to ensure that the client design requirements, associated drawings and specifications, along with all Local, State, and Federal regulations and industry best practices, are being met in a daily, effective, and in an environmentally safe manner.
Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Serve as a field liaison between contractors, with various areas of client, and customers as needed.
- Ensures contractors are working safely and to client Standards and Specifications, processes and procedures.
- Ensure contractors are following the provided client designs and standards, coordinating approved modifications as appropriate
- Attend and participate in preconstruction / planning, ongoing construction status, and post-construction meetings.
- Perform field investigations to follow up on work completed and respond to customer concerns.
- Identify, stop and report any contractor safety infractions to client management and / or contract crew management.
- Meets with the contract foreman to assist in problem resolution.
- Coordinates contractor work with client entities and various 3rd party entities.
- Ensure contract work is performed in a safe and timely manner, meeting expected deadlines, and as economically efficient as possible.
- Communicates with designers and other stakeholders regarding all changes made in the field.
- Conducts inspections of Overhead Lines.
- Plans, coordinates and tracks work assigned to contractors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities :
Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) at all levels of the organizationAptitude and experience in reading and interpreting constructions designs.Ability to understand safety and company policies and standardsDedicated and flexible with work time as needed to meet the business needs of work areaAbility to work Emergency Call OutKnowledge of client construction standards and safety guidelinesExtensive experience in Overhead constructionPreferred Qualifications :

Work is performed outdoors with possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions at job sites.The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Physical Demands :
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally with or without accommodation, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Travel between plants as needed. Ability to climb up and down ladders and steps.Regards,
