The City of Alexandria seeks to hire a qualified individual to fulfill the mission of its Grow With Alexandria activities. This would include a director-level position with oversight over retail strategies most specifically dealing with the Alexandria Mall and surrounding mall-area business retail. The City of Alexandria is launching its intensive capital-projects REIGNITE program with a heavy focus on the Reimagine Masonic Drive Corridor. While the position would focus on this corridor, the position would involve deploying retail assistance strategies throughout the City of Alexandria and contiguous, targeted areas of Rapides Parish.

Responsibilities and / or other division interactions :

• Market, brand, and develop healthcare-related supportive infrastructure, general retail, and recreation commerce in the City of Alexandria
• Community service policy and programming
• Guide retail services team
• Develop advocacy leadership throughout the community
• Coordinate and manage citywide and city-sponsored events for REIGNITE
• Coordinate and monitor pertinent cooperative endeavor activities
