Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Hotel Bookkeeper to manage daily financial records and ensure accurate reporting for our property. The ideal candidate has strong accounting skills, understands the hospitality industry, and can balance the demands of both back-office accounting and front-of-house support.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts for the hotel.

Record daily transactions including guest payments, room charges, restaurant / bar sales, and other revenue streams.

Reconcile cash, credit card, and bank deposits on a daily basis.

Process accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely payments and collections.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Assist with payroll processing and staff expense reimbursements.

Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies.

Work with external auditors and provide supporting documentation as needed.

Support management with financial data for forecasting and decision-making.

Qualifications

Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in hospitality or service industries.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
