Local Team Collaboration :

  • We take pride in our established team at Texas Health Allen.
  • Our team provides day Intensivist coverage with night 10-hour Advanced Practice Provider coverage.
  • Provide care to patients in the 8-bed, closed ICU, 10-hour day shift, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Qualifications :

  • Board certified, acute care trained nurse practitioner with unrestricted license.
  • Prior ICU APP practice time - minimum of 2 years post-training ICU practice, including ICU procedures.
  • Licensed to practice in Texas.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Practice in the Heart of the Community

    Scheduling :

  • 7, 10-hour day shifts per month, block shift scheduling with occasional available swing shift coverage in the ICU at Texas Health Plano.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to medical / surgical / cardiac / ICU patients.
  • Demonstrate autonomous care within an ICU setting with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists; demonstrate ability to work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team.
  • Commit to excellence in the clinical service and demonstrate problem-solving abilities necessary to best serve our patients.
  • Must provide evidence of procedural competence with the following procedures : central lines, arterial lines, intubations, and chest tubes.
  • EMR is Epic.
