About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Safety Test Engineer to join our Safety & Crash Testing team in Newark, CA. This team is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles meet the highest standards of safety and compliance with global consumer and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will be hands-on with crash testing activities, operating test equipment, supporting test engineers, and ensuring accurate setup and execution of vehicle safety tests. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are alike, and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple departments and take ownership of your work.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment for vehicle safety and crash tests.

Support test engineers in executing and documenting crash and safety tests.

Ensure compliance with internal safety protocols and external regulatory requirements.

Conduct vehicle rebuilds and test preparation post-crash events.

Collaborate cross-functionally with design, validation, and safety teams to resolve issues and improve test processes.

Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports.

Occasionally travel to test sites across the U.S. to support testing activities.

Qualifications

Required :

Experience : Minimum 5 years in vehicle safety testing, crash testing, and related automotive environments.

High Voltage Systems : Minimum 5 years of experience handling and working with high-voltage vehicle systems.

Vehicle Rebuilds : Minimum 5 years of experience rebuilding vehicles for testing or validation purposes.

Education : Technical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on engineering technician background.

Preferred :

Experience with electric vehicles or EV platforms.

Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
