Position Summary
Robert Half is working with a $1B manufacturer on multiple Inventory Controller roles. The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across all company locations and systems. This role ensures that materials, supplies, and finished goods are properly recorded, tracked, and replenished to meet production and operational needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in inventory management systems and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, reporting findings and corrective actions.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to manage stock levels and forecast needs.
Track movement of goods—receiving, transfers, and shipments—to ensure timely and accurate updates.
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Support month-end and year-end inventory close processes in coordination with the accounting team.
Generate and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making and cost control.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
Train warehouse or production staff on inventory processes as needed.
Qualifications
Technical
Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with data reporting and analysis.
Soft
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs as needed.
Prolonged standing, walking, and use of warehouse equipment (as applicable).
