About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Employment Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of experience to support our legal team with employment and labor law matters. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with employment-related litigation, investigations, and administrative matters.
- Draft and review legal documents such as employment agreements, separation agreements, and HR policies.
- Assist with responding to subpoenas, EEOC charges, and other regulatory inquiries.
- Conduct legal research on employment law issues including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, leave laws, and workplace safety.
- Maintain and organize employment law files, case calendars, and databases.
- Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents in response to litigation or agency requests.
- Assist with internal investigations, including gathering evidence and preparing interview summaries.
- Liaise with HR and other departments to ensure compliance with applicable labor and employment laws.
- Support compliance audits and training initiatives related to employment practices.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on employment / labor law.Bachelor's degree and / or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.Familiarity with employment laws and HR practices (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.).Strong legal research and writing skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting in-house counsel or working in a corporate legal department.Knowledge of e-discovery tools and processes.Bilingual or multilingual skills (a plus, but not required).What We Offer
