RN Clinical Educator- OLG - Women's Services

Overview : This role serves as the teacher / facilitator / consultant who collaborates with nursing and organizational management to implement educational goals. Assesses needs, plans, organizes, implements and evaluates education and training activities to improve patient care outcomes and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, design, present and evaluate educational programs for clinical and non-clinical staff based on identified needs / competencies.
  • Actively participate in groups and professional associations.
  • Function as a performance consultant.
  • Coordinate training facilities and other resources.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Education : Required - Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Work Experience : Preferred - Master's degree in nursing.
  • Required - 3 Years Of Nursing Experience.
  • Certifications : Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge Skills And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across organizational lines to meet objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and projects involving multiple constituencies.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
  • Ability to work in stressful situations, remaining objective and professional at all times.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., 24 / 7, weekend, holiday, on-call availability).
