Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work remotely with our client in Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a specialist in a group of technologies and services supported within technology.
  • Work closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed the organization\u2019s current and future needs.
  • Involve infrastructure architecture and design, research and development of new or expanded systems, technology standards and policies, analysis of user requirements and operational constraints, unit testing and system integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Interact regularly and independently with business partners at varying levels to clarify problems / opportunities and elicit business requirements.
  • Coordinate vendor interactions or vendor resources as needed.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators; review documentation, proposals, and changes proposed by less experienced staff.
  • Seek continuously expanding knowledge of Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies; follow industry best practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain a good aptitude and working knowledge of Bank applications, systems, and development environments; understand vendor technologies and services used by the Bank.
  • Adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with its Risk Appetite; identify risk-related issues for escalation.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client's brand. Maintain internal control standards and support audit requirements.
  • Lead the design and architecture of the bank\u2019s SIEM infrastructure, ensuring effectiveness, scalability, and alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement, configure, and optimize SIEM solutions to collect, correlate, and analyze security event data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain SIEM use cases, correlation rules, alerts, and reports to identify security incidents and potential threats.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Security Engineering teams to investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation actions.
  • Stay current with threats and industry trends and assess potential impact on the bank\u2019s SIEM infrastructure.
  • Lead SIEM-related projects, including upgrades and integration with other security tools; provide guidance to junior SIEM engineers.
  • Collaborate with IT operations, compliance, and risk management to align security posture with standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in incident response exercises and drills to enhance incident response capabilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills / Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems design, management, or architecture.
  • Preferred Skills / Qualifications :

  • Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design or development for complex applications.
  • Understanding of SDLC, IT Service Management, and systems design, with the ability to translate complex requirements into implementations.
  • Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; proven experience with industry or vendor technologies.
  • Ability to gather and analyze requirements from diverse stakeholders and work with integrators, developers, and testers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of server / client and virtual technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; quick learner in a rapid-paced environment.
  • Senior Splunk Architecture and Engineering Experience; Senior Splunk SIEM Design and Architecture; Data Modeling and Parsing Expertise.
  • Compensation and Benefits

    Pay : $53.20 - $88.65 / hr.

    Hours : 40 hours / week.

    Length : Temp (6 months).
