Lead Plumber

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled lead plumber well-versed in new construction work, with experience in handling fixtures. The role involves working with cast iron pipes, no-hub systems, and installing drain waste and vent systems. The ideal candidate should be adept at cutting and threading pipes and capable of reading blueprints and specifications. Proficiency is required in rough-ins, both above and underground, and in finishing or trim-out phases, including the installation of hardware like toilets and sinks.

Responsibilities

  • Work on underground and new construction projects, specifically in large commercial settings.
  • Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, or drainage systems in accordance with specifications or plumbing codes.
  • Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipes to required angles using appropriate tools and machinery.
  • Work with CPVC, PVC, and install water lines in the second rough phase.
  • Install domestic water and sanitary systems, including fixtures, hangers, and pipes.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficiency in the use of basic hand tools.
  • Experience with plumbing materials such as PVC, Copper, PEX, and cast iron.
  • Skills in brazing, soldering, and threading.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with large commercial construction, including renovation projects.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and piping systems.

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00 / hr.
