Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities.

This position requires a love for children, the ability to work collaboratively with educators, and a commitment to fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff.

Duties

  • Assist in the daily care of children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Support lead teachers in implementing educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and encouraging positive interactions.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
  • Assist in managing special needs or educational requirements for children requiring additional support.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred.
  • Experience with toddler care, infant care, or special education is highly valued.
  • Background in caregiving or nannying will be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with first aid practices is beneficial.
  • A passion for educating young minds and fostering their growth is essential.
