Title : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT – NICU)
Location : Baltimore, MD
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)
Job Responsibilities :
Provide critical respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in NICU / PICU settings.Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation systems including oscillating, jet, and conventional ventilators.Perform intubation, extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and airway management for neonates and pediatric patients.Deliver aerosolized and inhaled medications using various delivery systems.Administer surfactant (e.g. Curosurf) and nitric oxide therapy.Conduct arterial and capillary blood gas sampling and interpretation.Assist in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transport (inter-departmental).Support patients with critical respiratory conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and cystic fibrosis.Participate in interdisciplinary team care and respond to code or emergency situations as required.Ensure documentation accuracy using Epic or similar charting systems.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum 2 years (NICU / PICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with strong skillset).Certifications : RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (AHA or AAP accepted).Licensure : Active MD or Compact state license required at time of submission.Technical Skills :
Medication delivery systems (Albuterol, Atrovent, Pulmicort, Xopenex, etc.)Ventilator management (pressure / volume, HFJV, oscillators)Neonatal procedures (intubation, apnea monitoring, blood gas sampling)Pulmonary hygiene and sputum collectionProtocol-driven ECMO awarenessEquipment : Maquet Servo i, Draeger V500, Jet Ventilator, Oscillator, Nitric Oxide systems.Preferred Qualifications : \n
\tPrevious charge experience.\n\tExperience in Level I Trauma and Level IV NICU settings.\n\tExperience in a teaching hospital.\n\tFamiliarity with Epic charting system.\n\nAdditional Details : \n\tPatient population : Neonates, Pediatrics, and some Adults.\n\tAverage patient ratio : 1 : 12.\n\tFloat required within hospital (NICU, Pediatrics, Critical Care units).About HonorVet Technologies
