Must-Have :

High-risk Labor and Delivery experience

Charge experience required

Fetal heart monitoring skills

Description :

The position involves working in Labor and Delivery on a night shift.

The nurse will be responsible for assisting with high-risk deliveries.

Circulating for C-sections is part of the job responsibilities.

Experience in triaging obstetrical patients is preferred.

The nurse will need to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.

Floating to like units, such as Mom / Baby, is required.

Call requirements include 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period.

The nurse must be on premises within 45 minutes after receiving a call.

Weekend and holiday coverage is required every other weekend and as needed.

The nurse will chart using a designated electronic system.

The patient ratio is 1 : 2 during shifts.

Additional skills include precepting and charge nurse responsibilities.

Two supervisor references will be needed for verification purposes.
