Responsibilities Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns Handles an average of 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month Must occasionally serve as charge nurse following appropriate training 12-hour day shifts, 7am-7pm, with flexibility to cover other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed Maximum of two call-offs permitted during the contract Occasional floating to qualified departments may be required Responsibilities include patient care in Labor & Delivery, post-partum, and facilitating mother-baby rooming-in per BFHI guidelines May be required to take a patient load or assist with unit tasks when floating Orientation is provided on Mondays only; missed compliance deadlines will delay orientation to the following week Compliance with hospital dress code and responsibility expectations is required Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required Minimum of 5 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS or ALSO, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM (RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM) Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618146.
