Join the UPMC Shadyside Same Day Surgery Team as a Full-Time RN!
Are you a skilled nurse looking for a dynamic, fast-paced environment with no night shifts or holiday work ? UPMC Shadyside's Same Day Surgery Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team full-time (40 hours / week, non-exempt). In this role, you'll provide compassionate care to a diverse surgical patient population—supporting both pre-op and post-op needs across 40–60 cases daily. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in our acute pain team, expanding your clinical impact.
We're looking for candidates with at least 1 year of nursing experience (2 years preferred), including telemetry experience (required) and surgical nursing experience (preferred). BSN is preferred, but we welcome all educational backgrounds. GNs are not accepted for this role.
Schedule Highlights :
- Primary shifts : 5 : 00 AM–3 : 30 PM
- Occasional off-shifts : 7 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM or 9 : 30 AM–8 : 00 PM (rotated among staff)
- Weekend call : One Saturday or Sunday every 3 months
- All UPMC-approved holidays off
