Responsibilities Position is on a 26-bed acute care Med / Surg Telemetry unit specializing in post-surgical and trauma patients 90% of cases are post-surgical with the remaining 10% medical diagnoses All patient rooms equipped for cardiac monitoring, capnography or end-tidal CO2, and continuous pulse oximetry Night shift position working 4x12 hour shifts (19 : 00 to 07 : 00) Schedule requires working every other weekend and two of the three winter holidays 13-week contract assignment Block scheduling is not available Must adhere to float policy as required Epic EMR experience is required Responsibilities include the care of post-surgical and trauma patients in an acute telemetry setting Must be able to float in accordance with clinical experience and facility policy Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved during the contract Candidates are expected to cover two out of three major winter holidays as part of their schedule No radius rule is in effect for this position If a candidate has any known background issues, they must be disclosed to the appropriate manager Requirements Active VA or compact RN license in hand or pending at time of consideration Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required Proven Epic EMR experience Two professional references required for consideration A minimum of 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler to this health system Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627073.
