Job Description
American Traveler seeks an Ultrasound Technologist for a primarily independent weekend position with a requirement for an Illinois license and RDMS certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based general ultrasound unitSchedule includes Wednesday and Thursday 10 : 00 AM to 8 : 30 PM, Friday and Saturday 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AMWeekend coverage requires working independently as the sole technologistNight shift consists of 4x10 hour shiftsWeekend and holiday coverage may be requiredFloating to other units or facilities within the health system is possible if requested by managementTechnologists are accountable for providing ultrasound imaging independently during weekend shiftsMust be comfortable working without additional technologist support on weekendsCompletion of required online orientation modules is mandatory during scheduled shiftsRTO (requested time off) must be submitted prior to consideration and cannot be changed after submissionCompliance with facility vaccination requirements is expected; medical and religious accommodations will be reviewed case-by-case75 mile radius rule applies; locals accepted at a local rateEmployment history must include Northwestern Medicine and acquired facilitiesRequirements
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography programRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential required within 3 months of graduation; new grads need Certificate of CompletionBLS certification through AHA requiredIllinois license required if applicableMust have either ASN or BSN; BSN required for Northwestern Memorial Hospital rolesMinimum one year direct ultrasound experience requiredAbility to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 poundsPreferred : One year of vascular imaging experienceBenefits
