Territory Sales Manager - South Carolina

Location : South Carolina (Remote / Field-Based)

Industry : Electrical Utility / Manufacturer's Representative

We work closely with utilities, municipalities, contractors, distributors, and consulting engineers, representing a broad range of industry-leading products. Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated, professional, and self-sufficient Territory Sales Manager to lead sales efforts across South Carolina. This is a relationship-driven, outside sales position focused on expanding presence and generating revenue with utilities, cooperatives, and municipalities. The ideal candidate thrives in an autonomous environment while aligning with overall sales strategy, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to grow new business opportunities through disciplined sales execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including utilities and channel partners.

Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities across a broad product portfolio.

Conduct on-site customer visits, product presentations, and field training.

Collaborate with manufacturers to support specifications, quotes, training, and sales strategy.

Manage opportunities and account progress using CRM tools.

Drive product approvals and support customer engagement in pilot programs and rollouts.

Stay informed on market developments, customer needs, and competitor positioning.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and utility conferences.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven success in outside sales, preferably within electrical utility, manufacturing, or industrial markets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on relationship-building.

Highly organized, capable of managing multiple accounts and opportunities independently.

Comfortable delivering technical presentations and communicating product value effectively.

Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (field-based with some remote work).

Familiarity with CRM systems, sales pipelines, and opportunity tracking.

Willingness to travel throughout South Carolina and occasionally to surrounding regions for meetings, training, and trade shows.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to take ownership of a territory while being part of a results-driven sales team that values autonomy, growth, and long-term partnerships.
