PCU RN Job Details Location : Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 (Greater Cleveland area) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 11 / 14 / 2025 – End : 2 / 13 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU); must be able to float to Critical Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) as needed Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07 : 00 – 19 : 30) Estimated Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990 - $2130 Schedule : Every other holiday required Type : Travel nurse contract Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent experience in PCU or Stepdown nursing Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State RN license Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum 2 attempts) At least one supervisory reference from a PCU / Stepdown manager, ANM, supervisor, or director Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start Ability to float to CCU / CSICU as needed PCU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adults in the Progressive Care Unit Monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac and post-surgical cases Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced nursing interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital protocols Float to Critical Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) as needed Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and competency assessments Enjoy the benefits of working in Mayfield Heights, a welcoming Cleveland suburb with excellent dining, shopping, and proximity to downtown Cleveland's renowned healthcare facilities and cultural attractions.
