Lead Building Engineer

The Lead Building Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. You will work as part of an engineering team of 3 at a Class A office multi-building site in West Des Moines, IA. This position requires the Operating Engineer to be on-site.
What You'll Do
- Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to : painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs / ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance
- Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
- Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
- Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
- Comply with all safety procedures
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Other projects and tasks to be assigned
What You Bring To The Table
3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentryTrade school education, union training, military service or college is desirableUniversal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsComfort using ladders up to 30 feet tallAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and / or driveStrong customer service skillsLocation : On-site West Des Moines, IA
