Total Water Treatment Systems Inc., a leader in high-purity water solutions since 1943, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations across our 17 locations in five states.
This pivotal role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, streamlining supply chain functions, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and equipment to support company-wide operations and projects.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, negotiation, and supply chain management skills to help maintain our high standards of service and efficiency. Working in collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Purchasing Manager will play a key role in supporting specialized applications that include purified water systems for biotech, IVF, dialysis, microchip production, boiler feed, and parts rinsing.
This position is based out of Madison, WI.

Experience :
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in the mechanical trade (preferred).Proven purchasing and procurement experience, including vendor negotiation and contract management.Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, sourcing strategies, and inventory control.Proficiency with Windows-based programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet applications.Experience working with internal teams across departments to manage purchasing needs.Demonstrated vendor relationship management and ability to assess supplier capabilities.Ability to interpret sales trends and align purchasing strategies accordingly.Experience preparing and managing purchase orders, vendor coding, and reconciling discrepancies.Knowledge of freight logistics, including working with carriers to obtain quotes and arrange shipments.Proficient in maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reporting.Experience managing safety data sheets, scrap resale, and waste material disposal.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently.Prior experience overseeing vehicle purchases, fuel programs, and working with insurance providers.Forklift operation and ability to lift up to 80 pounds (occasionally with assistance).Total Water Treatment Systems Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minority, Female, Veteran, Disability.
