Provox Global is seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to drive our conversational AI platform development and lead technical initiatives across our Google Cloud Platform-based infrastructure. This role involves knowledge transfer from our current Chief Engineer and will evolve into leading a growing engineering team focused on AI-powered voice and chat interfaces for healthcare applications.
Key Responsibilities
Conversational AI & DialogFlow Management
- Design, develop, and maintain DialogFlow CX implementations as the core human interface controller
- Optimize voice assistant (VA / VAS) and chat / text experiences
- Configure and manage DialogFlow Phone Gateway integrations
- Monitor and resolve AI hallucinations while ensuring coherent customer dialog
- Implement proper AI grounding techniques for reliable interactions
- Develop and maintain Node.js Cloud Functions for business logic layer
- Build intermediate APIs and JSON-based services
- Configure and optimize GCP environments, environment variables, and deployment pipelines
- Monitor system performance, CPU usage, and implement alerting systems
- Ensure high-volume concurrency handling with proper variable locking and storage optimization
- Manage code versioning and migration strategies
- Maintain and optimize integrations with healthcare systems (Dentrix, EzText, PhoneNumLookup)
- Design and implement webhook architectures
- Build monitoring solutions for no-match phrases, call disconnects, and conversation dead-ends
- Develop business operations dashboards (Power BI or similar)
