Position Overview

As a Dental Hygienist, youll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive dental care under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentistas per New York State guidelines. Youll be a valued clinical professional and a trusted educator to our patients, helping them achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

What Youll Do

Clinical Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough reviews of medical / dental histories, including medications, allergies, and periodontal status
• Take and process digital dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Prepare patients for treatment with professionalism and care
• Perform oral cancer screenings and full periodontal assessments using both manual and visual techniques
• Apply fluoride and other preventive agents to arrest decay
• Provide occlusal sealants and complete routine prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and polishing
• Document all findings and treatments in the patients electronic dental chart
• Assist in the diagnosis and detection of oral conditions such as caries, periodontal disease, and TMJ disorders
