Sandia Internal Communications is searching for and outstanding communications professional to serve as a traffic coordinator, writer and editor.
The selected candidate will coordinate workflows from intake to delivery, working with teams to set milestones and deadlines for tasks related to campaigns within the Communications portfolio. This person will ensure on-time delivery by coordinating resources and schedules and facilitating communication between teams.
One's insights into writing for different audiences will ensure that messages connect with readers and inspire. One's editing abilities will be essential to sustaining high-quality communications for the Labs.
Candidates will develop positive and productive relationships with partners and be seen as an important resource in delivering exceptional communications. In addition to coordinating workflows, writing and editing, one should be able to prioritize work, meet strict deadlines, coordinate multiple projects, and adapt to emerging information and circumstances while helping their colleagues do the same.

Salary Range

About Our Team
The Sandia National Laboratories Communications team is responsible for all public and Labswide communications functions for a $4 billion national security lab with more than 16,000 employees and major sites in New Mexico and California. These positions are contributors to a diverse and engaged laboratories communications team. The Internal Communications Department serves as the point of contact for critical and conventional internal communications from executive and inspirational messaging to corporate and operational messaging. The department maintains the primary Labswide employee communications channels and supports program communicators who partner with organizations across the Labs.
Posting Duration

Security Clearance
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment / education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
