We are seeking a dedicated Material or Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain and Procurement team. The role involves supporting day-to-day operations, creating and maintaining supplier relationships, coordinating purchasing transactions, and implementing material cost-reduction efforts. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by developing and supporting business strategies and securing commodities and services that align with our projects and product lines.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain supplier relations to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate purchasing transactions to meet project and stock goals.
- Implement material cost-reduction strategies.
- Promote and drive improvements in supplier and business performance.
- Support, maintain, and improve the strategy for purchased commodities and services.
- Support the financial performance of the business.
- Evaluate and develop policies and procedures for continuous procurement improvement.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quality performance.
Essential Skills
Strong ERP experience, with Oracle preferred and SAP acceptable.3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles.Procurement background, ideally in government contracting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of purchasing and / or Supply Chain experience.Strong knowledge of Government contracting practices, including FAR / DFARS.Understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts like planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, and logistics.Planning, negotiation, and execution skills.Project management and strategic sourcing experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in Defense industry procurement is strongly preferred.Lean and / or Six-Sigma experience and knowledge is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.Self-starter, highly motivated, action-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.Demonstrated success in driving cost reductions and superior customer service.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00 / hr.
