Adult Services BCBA Overview
Join our dedicated team as an Adult Services BCBA where you be will responsible for providing clinical oversight to individuals in a structured residential environment designed to promote intellectual, emotional and social growth. The Assistant Director of Adult Clinical Services is responsible for assisting the Director of Adult Services in the day-to-day operation of the clinical services and implementation and monitoring of all behavioral programming. The Assistant Director of Adult Clinical Services ensures appropriate staffing resources and the delivery of each student’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP). They ensure implementation in conjunction with Program Coordinator, in collaboration with Massachusetts and Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
In addition, the Assistant Director of Adult Clinical Services assists the Director of Adult Services to ensure that all requirements are met for acquiring and maintaining all program applicable licenses, certifications and accreditations. The Assistant Director of Adult Clinical Services is responsible for assisting in the implementation of Positive Behavior Support (PBS). This role will assist in the development of all clinical services within the residential settings. In addition, the position will ensure that all requirements are met for management staff to acquire and maintain clinical standards of excellence.
Adult Services BCBA Schedule and Salary Information
Depending on experience, pay ranges from 90-110k
Full-time position requiring flexible scheduling including on-call rotations and occasional weekend and holiday coverage
Adult Services BCBA Requirements
Masters Degree in Behavior Education or Applied Behavior Analysis or Education or Psychology
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of clinical supervision within an applied community setting and in implementing evidence-based procedures for individuals with challenging behaviors. Experience in program management, skills in human resources, budget management, and running educational and clinical systems.
Works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team (Nursing Services, Clinical Services, families and other accrediting agencies.
Adult Services BCBA Responsibilities
Implements current (and future adaptations) PBS : Procedures as outlined by PBS & Melmark New England and ensure policies and procedures on behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across clinical settings (procedural integrity).
Provides hands-on training for management and direct care personnel in the designated classrooms and residences.
Implements staff feedback systems for management staff and direct care personnel at the designated criteria rate.
Oversees the Weekly Review process for caseload according to guidelines and emphasizes that the integrity of the reviews is completed by all personnel required to attend the meeting.
Assists with crisis management across settings.
Serves as a clinician for a caseload of individuals. Ensures that this role remains proactive, emphasizing on-going changes, skill development, generalization and maintenance.
Updates clinical matrixes on a monthly basis (PBS Lists) and reports monthly at Senior Clinical Meetings and / or Administration Meetings.
Provides direct weekly observation of individuals in designated classroom settings and residences.
