$3,186 per week

About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Profession : CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Specialty : General X-Ray / CT

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8H Day / Night Rotate

Hours per Shift : Day shifts 7a-3 : 30p or 9 : 30a-6p, Evening shifts 2p-10 : 30p

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience

License : No specific license required

Certifications : ARRT, BLS

Must-Have : CT experience, comfortable with transferring patients

Description :

All paperwork is due 7 business days before the start.

General certification requirements include BLS.

Candidates must have registered status without the need for certification.

CT experience is required.

The department consists of 2 X-ray rooms, 1 CT room, 2 portable units, and 2 C-arms.

Floating to other areas such as ER, OR, Med Surg, and PACU may be necessary.

Common types of imaging performed include general X-ray and general CT.

No CT guided procedures or interventional radiology will be performed.

Familiarity with contrast administration is needed.

Candidates are not required to start IVs.

Independence in the role is expected at times.

The average number of scans / studies performed daily is approximately 10 on weekends and 40 during weekdays.

The department uses Epic and Novarad for EMR and PACS.

Equipment includes Shimadzu rooms, GE C-arms, and a Siemens 64-slice CT scanner.

Radiology supervision is provided by a designated lead tech.

There are no Registered Radiology Assistants in the department.

Tele-radiology services are available 24 / 7.

Shift scheduling includes evening shifts from 2p-10 : 30p and mornings from 7a-3 : 30p or 9 : 30a-6p, with a rotation made by the manager.

Weekend coverage may be required every third weekend, depending on experience and manager evaluation.

A holiday requirement may apply, also dependent on experience and manager evaluation.

Call or standby requirements are limited to weekend coverage only, based on manager evaluation.

Preferred scrub color is wine; if travelers do not have this, any clean, solid, professional scrubs may be worn.

Department-specific orientation will last up to 1 week during the day shift, with minimal Epic training scheduled for the first week.
