Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Partner supports campus hiring initiatives and collaborates with other HR team members to provide quality recruitment services. The position will support Full-Life cycle / End-to-end recruitments as required. This will include helping to develop recruitment plans, job advertising, sourcing & attracting qualified candidates, Diversity outreach, screening resumes, assisting with interview process, assessing candidates, reference checking, supporting management and specialty positions and advising hiring authorities on selection procedures in compliance with Federal and State laws and University policies.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and / or certification if required of the position

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and outreach activities, including building applicant pools through sourcing passive candidates.
  • Experience interfacing with all levels of management on employment, selection, and outreach issues, including intake methodologies and recruitment planning. Understanding of local, state, and national organizations and institutions that support recruitment efforts.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and knowledge of employment laws and practices related to ADA, AA / EEO, Veterans, and anti-discrimination.
  • Proven ability to conduct candidate analysis, assess qualifications, and develop selection recommendations in collaboration with search committees and hiring authorities. Knowledge of local, state and national community organizations, institutions, and activities that provide resources for recruitment efforts.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communications including writing, research, and public presentation skills as well as establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with client populations, including hiring authorities and the general public consisting of diverse backgrounds.
  • Computer skills utilizing the Internet, MS Office software - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job posting boards, and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recruitment certification or formalized training preferred (e.g., AITS, RACR, ASA, CCR, LinkedIn).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and SmartPost.
  • Working knowledge of campus policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
