Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of OR nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Pediatric Operating Room within a hospital setting

Patient population includes pediatric surgical cases of varying complexity

12-hour night shifts from 7p-7a, Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday

No floating or on-call requirements mentioned

No local candidates allowed due to a 50-mile radius rule

Responsible for delivering nursing care to pediatric surgery patients and assisting with diagnostic procedures and treatments

Documents patient responses, monitors physiological data, and administers prescribed medications including IV infusions and blood products

Interacts with families to share plans of care, provide procedure information, and coordinate discharge education

Delegates tasks to support staff and maintains collaborative relationships with the multidisciplinary team

Must abide by hospital dress code and adhere to all assigned duties as required

Requirements

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required

Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting

Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
