Heavy Equipment Operator

John Smith Landfill, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate position available for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our operation in Hollister, CA .

The primary duties of this job is operating : Excavator, Loader, Dozer, compactor. Class B CDL and landfill experience is preferred.

The schedule will be 4 days per week, 10 hour days , plus some overtime. The schedule will include either a Saturday or Sunday.

The starting pay rate will be $32-42 / hour. We also offer great family benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

• Proficient in operating all yellow iron on site.
• Operating Dozer, Compactor, Excavator, ADT, Loaders, Backhoes, and Roll off Trucks
• Loading recycle materials in a hopper
• Pushing up piles of yard debris, rubble
• Responsible for equipment inspection
