Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Harvest, AL is seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction for K-12 students. This is a part-time, on-site role with a contract duration for the new school year.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver individualized educational support to visually impaired students across a mixed caseload
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of student performance
  • Utilize specialized equipment and technologies to enhance instruction

Qualifications :

  • Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
  • Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments
