Responsibilities Work in a 33-bed labor & delivery and postpartum unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, GYN surgical, and newborns Unit features 2 triage rooms, 4 LDR rooms, 9 Mother Baby rooms, and a C-section suite Patient assignments follow AWHONN guidelines Provide newborn care and support, including resuscitation and postpartum care Standard schedule of 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700), with every other weekend required Travelers required to work 75% of holidays No call or on-call requirements Potential to float within Region 1 to multiple facilities as needed and within scope of practice Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Phillips monitors, Panda Warmers, and GE / OBIX central monitoring Primary responsibilities include managing all aspects of labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care Support staff available including OB Surg Techs, charge nurse, case manager, RT, hospitalist or OB physician, pediatrician, and unit secretarial support Departmental orientation of 2 days and facility orientation provided Navy blue scrubs required or business casual to / from work; hospital-issued scrubs are worn while working Free parking provided onsite No trauma designation and not a teaching hospital Up to 6 days of time off may be approved, excluding holidays; any additional time off must be added to the end of the contract Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required Proficient in circulating C-sections, full LDRP care, newborn care including heel sticks and NAS scoring, 24-hour testing, and lactation support Experience with newborn resuscitation required Recent experience in unit specialty within the past year Must not be a first-time traveler Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613314.
