We are currently seeking a passionate Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our team at the GSS SD Desmet Center .

Position Details

  • Shift : 8 Hours - Night Shifts
  • Job Schedule : Full-time
  • Pay Info : Eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Your Role

As a Nursing Assistant, you will be a vital caregiver, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will include :

  • Delivering age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of residents.
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs while providing psychosocial support.
  • Helping residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning using proper techniques.
  • Creating a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
  • Documenting resident interactions and communicating any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
  • Providing housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas.
  • Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

    • What We’re Looking For

    To thrive in this role, you should have :

  • A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus.
  • A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or the ability to obtain it within four months of starting.
  • A commitment to completing yearly competency testing and maintaining continuing education credits.

    • Working Conditions

    This role may require you to be classified as a Sanford Category II Driver, depending on facility needs and responsibilities.
