Lifeguard Position at Physique Swimming

We are seeking a responsible and vigilant individual to join our team as a lifeguard for our summer camp program. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of campers and staff during all aquatic activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations
  • Keep constant surveillance of swimmers and be alert to any signs of distress or potential danger
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency situations, including performing rescue and CPR if necessary
  • Assist with swim lessons and activities as needed
  • Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff regarding any safety concerns or incidents
  • Document incident reports
  • Maintain and clean all equipment used during aquatic activities
  • Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings

Requirements

  • Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Strong swimming skills and endurance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations
  • Experience working with children is preferred

    • Job Types : Part-time, Full-time

    Salary : $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

    Schedule

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

    • Location

  • New York, NY 10006 : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
