Job Description Summary
Manage operating strategies that ensure customer satisfaction and the development of our staff by adherence to established operating standards to ensure profitable and sustainable growth of the operation that meets the needs of the business.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct the implementation of manufacturing strategies to ensure compliance with the operating levels established by the Business Management
- A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy / strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Drive business priorities and manufacturing department goals
- Define the monitoring and control mechanisms necessary to prevent risks, failures or deviations which can affect operating levels
- Identify, communicate, and resolve production, quality, and safety issues
- Maintain key measures to identify sources of inefficiency
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree requiredMinimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing OperationsDesired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skills
