A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - PCU Job Details : - Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM - 13-week contract assignment - Every other weekend required - Primary assignment on Neuro PCU with 4 : 1 patient ratio - May float to other med-surg areas within the floor (ortho / neuro) and hospital with 5 : 1 or 6 : 1 ratios - Work with 2-3 nurses on night shift, 1 PCT, and shared charge nurse - 8-bed unit with GE hardwired monitors in 4 rooms - EMR system : Meditech - Required skills : IV medication drips, ACLS, cardiac monitoring - NIH certification required by start date (if not already obtained) - Preferred skills : experience with trachs - Dress code : navy blue scrubs required - Must demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills - PCU level experience required with awareness of potential floating to other med-surg areas Facility : This healthcare facility features a specialized Neuro Progressive Care Unit that emphasizes collaborative teamwork and exceptional patient care.
