As a Part-Time Security Officer in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $21.45 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSat11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AMSun11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify identification, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
  • Support Allied Universal in upholding security-related standards and protocols specific to a government facility environment.
  • Document and report daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities at the front desk as required by site guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures, including providing information and direction to building occupants and first responders.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience working with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
