Jr. Outside Sales Representative

Join our team as a Junior Sales Representative and play a key role in driving new business opportunities. You'll learn the market, develop product knowledge across stone, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other materials, and work closely with customers to deliver solutions that meet their needs. We're looking for a motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and creating opportunities and delivering value to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for own personal safety at all times as well as maintaining the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
• Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA / OSHA / DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA's, TRACK, etc.)
• Maintain productive working relationship with customers & fellow employees.
• Establish the company as the preferred vendor by providing differential value between our company and the competition.
• Solicit / secure opportunities to price jobs and gather orders from existing customers by means of personal visits, telephone conversation, or written communication.
• Identify new markets and targets specific accounts and prospects to meet or exceed sales objectives.
• Submit daily activity / call reports concerning customer related events.
• Research construction activity in our market area and surrounding market areas.

Education and / or Experience

Language Skills : Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to employees, management, executives, and clients. Must have excellent phone etiquette, speaking voice and professional appearance.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability : Able to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, written or oral form. Able to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to interpret written and oral instructions, and to read, analyze, and interpret, operating & maintenance instructions or regulations.

Stress : Ability to handle stressful situations when dealing with customer demand, supervision of staff and scheduling.
