Explore Career Pathways for Laboratory Professionals : Responsibilities The Phlebotomist functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include; venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instruction, and specimen culture collection instruction. Qualifications Job Requirements : High School diploma or equivalent Preferred Job Requirements : Completion of an accredited phlebotomy / medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience Certification from nationally recognized agency.
